A Little Bit About Me

My name is Ruthy Elaine Fugate. I was born on Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi on November 17, 2011. I love to dance, explore and am generally considered a social butterfly. I am an active member of my student council and church. I work diligently to do my best. I currently dance competitively for Jacksonville Dance Company but before that I danced at Mainstream Dance Academy in New Jersey. My parents are in the military, so as a military kid, I get to see and travel all throughout the United States and make long lasting friendships everywhere I go. 

I love the art of dancing and my competitive spirit makes it all the more exciting. I have experience dancing many different genres and styles including Tap, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Ballet, Acro, Large Groups, Small Groups, Trios, Duos, and of course, Solos. I’ve collected dozens of team awards but have also won many individual awards to include Team Most Valuable Dancer of the Year in 2021.
